Aviation Quality Services GmbH attaches great importance to digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are committed to providing an inclusive online experience for all users, fully in line with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and all relevant accessibility standards. These include EN 301 549, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as well as the Accessibility Reinforcement Act (BFSG) and its implementing regulation (BFSGV). Our goal is to make our digital services easy to use and understandable for everyone.

Measures to Support Accessibility
To ensure compliance with BFSG requirements and related accessibility standards, Aviation Quality Services continuously implements the following measures:
Audits: We regularly conduct both automated and manual accessibility audits to systematically assess our digital services for compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and EN 301 549. These evaluations help us identify and eliminate potential barriers.
Training: We offer ongoing and comprehensive training to our content managers, designers, and developers to ensure they are familiar with best practices in accessibility and integrate these principles throughout content creation and development.
Integration into Development Lifecycle: Accessibility is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle—from initial design and planning through testing and deployment—following a "born accessible" approach wherever feasible.
Specialized Accessibility Team: We have a dedicated team responsible for overseeing and promoting digital accessibility initiatives across our platforms.
Conformance Status
Based on our most recent evaluations, the website www.lufthansagroup-quality-services.com is partially conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and the European standard EN 301 549, as referenced in the BFSG. This means that while essential parts of the website already meet the relevant accessibility requirements, some areas still need improvement to achieve full compliance. We are actively working to eliminate these remaining barriers.
Accessibility Evaluation and Assessment
As part of our ongoing compliance process, our accessibility experts have thoroughly assessed the website www.lufthansagroup-quality-services.com using the four core principles of digital accessibility ("POUR"):
Perceivable: Evaluation of alternative text for non-text content, provision of text alternatives for multimedia (e.g. captions, transcripts), adherence to adequate color contrasts, and adaptable content display without loss of information or structure.
Operable: Analysis of keyboard navigability to ensure all interactive elements are accessible by keyboard alone, effective focus management for assistive technology users, and appropriate control of time-based content.
Understandable: Review of clear and descriptive page titles, a logical heading hierarchy for easy navigation, consistent navigation mechanisms, and effective input assistance to help users avoid and correct errors.
Robust: Ensuring compatibility with a variety of assistive technologies (e.g. screen readers, magnification tools) and adherence to semantic HTML structures for reliable machine interpretation.
In addition to internal audits, our website has been reviewed by external accessibility experts. We also regularly test our websites for barriers in collaboration with individuals with disabilities.
Identified Accessibility Issues
Despite considerable efforts to ensure accessibility, we have identified the following areas that may not yet be fully accessible. We are actively working to address these issues:
Missing alternative text for some images. We are reviewing and updating all image descriptions.
Inconsistent heading hierarchy with skipped or illogical headings. We are implementing a uniform semantic heading structure.
Non-descriptive link texts such as “Click here” or “More.” These are being replaced with descriptive alternatives.
Complex forms and interactive elements that may be difficult to use with keyboards or screen readers. These are being optimized for accessibility.
Embedded third-party content that may not fully meet our standards. We are seeking accessible alternatives where possible.
Some PDF files may not be fully accessible. We are reviewing, replacing, or appropriately labeling them.
Some videos lack subtitles or transcripts. We are working to add subtitles to improve comprehension.
Session timeouts cannot always be extended for security reasons. We are striving to balance usability and security appropriately.
Some images and graphic elements lack clear alternative text.
Not all form labels are programmatically identifiable; focus order is sometimes unclear and keyboard focus not sufficiently visible.
In some cases, the accessible name of a control does not match the visible name.
Some graphics and visual elements are not fully accessible due to missing alternative text or insufficient descriptions of complex content.
Sliders may have interactive keyboard navigation issues.
In dropdowns or selection fields, the current focus state is not always visually apparent.
Keyboard navigation may lack a clearly visible focus indicator, especially on form pages.
Visual focus is not consistently visible during keyboard use.
Some text elements over images or backgrounds may have insufficient color contrast.
Due to the volume of content, we have not yet made all content and services fully digitally accessible. We are continuously working to remove these barriers.
A comprehensive plan to resolve these issues has been initiated, and improvements will be rolled out across the platform step by step after thorough testing.
